Lightning Lift has taken area lakes by storm, and it’s no wonder why. With its rugged yet simple lightweight design, Lightning Lift eliminates the need for all the costly extras such as shore power, deep cycle batteries, solar panels, or jumper cables. Lightning lift installs in minutes with only a flathead screwdriver. It installs fast and raises fast with an average lift speed of 30 seconds, about 3-4 times faster than any other lift kit, and costs a fraction of what other lift kits cost.
Lightning Lift consists of anodized aircraft aluminum, stainless steel hardware, hardened steel gears, infused UV drive wheel, and four high-precision ball bearings (no bushings). Lightning Lift can mount to any hand crank lift with a vertical or slanted round, square, or rectangular post! With its unprecedented lift capacity of 6000lb, Lightning Lift will easily lift wakeboards, boats, pontoons, and ski boats at lightning-fast speeds! Don’t worry; we spared no expense on the highest quality materials.
If you’re considering another kit, think again because when the motor burns out, it costs more than our entire kit (trust us, we hear about this often)! Another Unique feature of Lightning Lift is its unique ability to freewheel by removing your drill. We’ve all seen it where a homeowner has five extension cords running down their hill with a battery charger plugged in so they can get their boat off the lift. Other kits can trap your boat on the lift should the power go out (120v model) or your batteries die (12v/24V models). You can’t get your boat off the lift with these other systems.
1.) Disassemble the unit to freewheel, or 2.) Run extension cords to a battery charger and wait for the batteries to charge. Rest assured; Lightning Lift has three years of testing behind it. We have tested it on many old and new lifts with almost every drill you would find at your local big box home improvement stores. Our favorite performer is the 24v flex drill sold at Lowes (we don’t suggest using it in turbo mode as it is crazy fast)! It sells for approximately $160 and comes with two batteries (2.5ah & 4.0ah) and a speed charger. Lifting a 3000lb pontoon, we quickly did six complete life cycles, and it burned 1 of 4 bars on the 2.5ah battery. Our second favorite drill was the Milwaukee M18 Fuel, sold at big box stores like Home Depot and Ace hardware. Considering it’s nearly 6V less than the Flex drill, it performed almost the same. Another good option is the 18v Ridged sold at Home Depot. You lose a little speed and torque compared to the M18 Fuel or Flex; however, if you buy this drill and register it within 30 days of purchase, they will give you a lifetime warranty on the drill and the batteries! Whatever drill you decide to use, we recommend that it meet or exceed the following requirements: 1). Lithium 18-24 battery with two or more amp hours, 2.) A brushless drill motor. The only drill we don’t recommend is a harbor freight brand drill. The only seasonal maintenance is to remove it in the off-season and (if needed) apply a small dab of grease on the pinion gear (the smaller gear). Two worm clamps and a screwdriver are all it takes to remove it from your lift!
